Privacy Statement
Information provided to and held by, or on behalf of, the
National Assembly is subject to all laws governing access to
information, examples of which include: The Data Protection Act
1998, and the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and the National
Assembly's Code of Practice on Public Access to Information 3rd
edition (2004).
We do not use cookies for collecting user information and we
will not collect any information about you except that required for
system administration of our web server and any information entered
through forms on the website.
In order to ensure that the information you provide is as
accurate as possible we will send you an email to confirm the
details you entered. The email will be sent to the email address
you provided shortly after you have completed the form and will
contain a link to verify the registration.
Data Protection Act 1998
In accordance with the Data Protection Act the Observatory
will ensure that key information held on individuals will be
processed according to the eight data protection principles,
including the key requirement that data will be processed both
fairly and lawfully.
The data controller is the Welsh Assembly Government and the
data processor is Cardiff University, as defined in the Data
Protection Act:
Data gathered by the Observatory will be kept in a secure
database in compliance with The Data Protection Act of 1998. The
data gathered will be made available to the Welsh Assembly
Government but will not be made available to other organisations or
commercial companies. Aggregated data and reports will be made
available to interested third parties but the data will not contain
individual's responses and will not contain information able
identify an individual.
Broadband Brokerage Scheme
In order to ensure that the information you provide is as
accurate as possible we will send you an email to confirm the
details you entered. The email will be sent to the email address
you provided shortly after you have completed the form and will
contain a link to verify the registration.
Opening the email and following the link does not mean you
will be receiving unsolicited emails from us. You will receive
notifications from us only if you have requested to do so.
If you do not receive an email from us please check the
following:
- You, or the network you are on, do not operate a spam filter
that might have incorrectly identified the email as spam.
- The email inbox you are checking is the same as the one given
during completion of the form.

The Broadband Wales Observatory is maintained for your
personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of this site
constitutes acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions that
take effect from the date of first use.

hosted on this site. We do not object to you linking directly to
the information that is hosted on our site. However, we do not
